Love is in the Air at the Tybee Wedding Chapel
Love is in the air, which means wedding bells are soon to follow. More so than the dress (or the suit), the colors or the cake, the location is arguably the most important decision to be made when it comes to planning your big day – aside from picking your partner, of course. With its idyllic coastal landscape and luxe accommodations, Tybee Island is the perfect setting for a destination wedding. Surely, warm weather and island charm aren’t the only makings of a successful site, a beautiful venue is a must, no matter the size of your special affair. Fortunately, Tybee’s got the perfect option.

The Tybee Wedding Chapel & Grand Ballroom is the premier wedding venue on the island. Tybee Wedding Chapel hosted its first wedding in April 2011 and quickly became one of the leading nuptial venues in the region. Celebrated for its beautiful chapel, stellar amenities and dedicated staff, the venue has received Best of Weddings and Bride’s Choice awards by The Knot and Wedding Wire respectively every consecutive year since 2012. The Chapel is also the only wedding venue within the greater Savannah area to receive the Knot Legacy Award, which is awarded based on customer review.

Originally custom-built as a movie set, the picturesque chapel features hardwood floors, antique gold chandeliers, ornate wood beams and more. In addition to the stunning sanctuary, Tybee Wedding Chapel boasts a spacious grand ballroom, chic cocktail lounge, two state-of-the-art catering kitchens, several restrooms and special suites for the betrothed. Overlooking a quiet creek, the Chapel grounds are just as beautiful as the interior. The verdant lawn, aged oaks and vibrant flowers create a mystical atmosphere that compliments the occasion.

Director of Events Ray Anaya is confident that Tybee Wedding Chapel is the right choice for any intended pair on their special day: “The Chapel is the perfect wedding venue. You have your wedding ceremony and reception in one location!” In truth, most guests don’t like traveling to two separate locales for the same wedding anyway. They’d much rather spend more time celebrating the couple and snapping pictures than driving around and getting lost. The on-site grand ballroom eliminates this issue altogether.

Featuring opulent design, customizable layout, an 11-foot projector screen and a spectacular sound system, the ballroom is perfect for wedding receptions, but it’s also a great option for birthday parties, corporate events and more. Furthermore, Tybee Wedding Chapel has made its ballroom and campus available to do good in the community: “We try to do as much charity work as possible. The venue has donated to help the Tybee Island Maritime Academy, American Cancer Society, Faith Equestrian Therapeutic Center and many more organizations.”

Between the breathtaking site, the bountiful amenities, the accommodating staff and the community involvement, Tybee Wedding Chapel is the picture-perfect place to say “I do.” If nuptials are on your horizon, look no further than The Chapel.
