With the holiday season just a few short weeks away, we want to let everyone know that we have been working on ways to have a safe holiday celebration. With that in mind, we will not be holding our annual Christmas Parade. However, we have some other great events in the works.
All Day Free Parking
From Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 26) to New Year’s Day (Jan. 1) you can park for free all day in any city space. Regular rates will resume on Jan. 2
Small Business Saturday
Nov. 28, – Shop local for special sales, events, raffles, and giveaways at your favorite Tybee stores. Participate in our Second Annual “Find Your Selfie on Tybee” Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win prizes.
Artists Sunday
Nov. 29 – New this year, local Tybee artists will join with other artists nationwide to celebrate Artists Sunday, showcasing their unique works of art and gift ideas.
Christmas Caravan
Dec. 4 – We might not have a parade, but we will have a Christmas Caravan. Be on the lookout for a decorated, musical caravan of vehicles winding through your neighborhood on this evening after sundown. We’ll be carting around some special guests from way up North. When you see flashing lights and hear Christmas Carols, you’ll know we’re coming down your street. We encourage you to watch from your yard, porch or a city park. Our map route will be published soon.
Business Decorating Contest
Dec. 5 – The Santa Trophy and bragging rights are up for grabs again this year for the Best Lit Business on Tybee.

CHRISTMAS MOVIES AT TYBEE POST THEATER
It’s Lights On for the Holidays at Tybee’s only performing arts and movie theater! After remaining dark since the middle of March due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Tybee Post Theater is lighting up the Theater with a glorious holiday light display that should be the backdrop of every Tybee Christmas card photo
Even better, the Theater is finally opening its doors and welcoming the Tybee community and its visitors to a spirit-lifting series of holiday movies every weekend in December.
