Known as ‘the best little shore shop on Tybee,’ Seaside Sisters is truly a unique gem for all things gift on the island. With a diverse collection of quaint and custom art, accessories, home décor and more, this blissful beach shop is the place to find local and original coastal gifts for you and yours. The Tybee Island gift shop is kicking off the holiday shopping season with a special shindig of its own.

Seaside Sisters is proud to celebrate ten years in business, and they’re throwing an anniversary party – complete with a stellar sale – that’s not to be missed. Stop by this weekend on Nov. 4 – 5 to a get running start on holiday shopping while having loads of fun. Owner Susan Kelleher is excited for the party. “We are giving away great swag bags, raffles, tastings, cake and cocktails, and good sales all weekend. The raffles will raise money for the Tybee Hurricane fund,” she explained. So, shoppers can do some good for the local community while scoring great deals, making the holiday season that much sweeter.

Seaside Sisters got its start a decade ago when Kelleher and friends decided to turn their shared love for coastal style into a business venture. Today, Seaside Sisters, “is a fun, beachy shop specializing in coastal casual lifestyle. We have jewelry, home décor, candles, local books, vintage treasures, Tervis and barware, and lots of one-of-a-kind Tybee mementos to take home with you,” she described. Though the shop has seen some changes throughout the years, Kelleher notes that the sorority of core vendors has remained a constant. Another key figure in the shop’s success is Joey, Kelleher’s sweet and sizable doodle. An accommodating shop keep, Joey has earned a great reputation among shoppers for his welcoming and friendly nature. “We have people come in asking for Joey before they do anything else! It’s really nice to have him there,” she added.

As if the well-curated stock and cheerful service weren’t reason enough to stop by, Seaside Sisters is all about customer appreciation. Patrons can pick up their frequent shopper card, which results in a 10% discount off total purchase after just six visits. That incentive definitely keeps people coming back. “We love our customers and look forward to seeing them return each year,” Kelleher began, “we know most of our locals and hope we can help them find just what they need when they need it.” That level of commitment to customers is perhaps the gift shop’s greatest appeal. The staff at Seaside Sisters love what they do, where they do it and who they do it for: “We are a happy crew [who] welcomes everyone in for a little fun and great shopping!” She added, “We love living and working on Tybee Island, who wouldn’t?”
