Attend a signature event.

Tybee always kicks off the new year with one of the island’s most highly anticipated annual events, the Tybee Polar Plunge. But there’s so much more fun to be had throughout the remainder of the year. Set aside time in 2024 to attend at least one of Tybee’s stellar signature events. Some upcoming events worth planning a trip around include St. Patrick’s Day, the Beach Bum Parade, Tybee MLK’s Juneteenth celebration, the Tybee Island Pirate Festival, and the Tybee Post Music Festival, among others. All of these events celebrate the tight-knit island community, each offering a unique experience that draws in locals and tourists alike.

Rent a condo on the beach.

You worked hard in 2023, so you deserve a relaxing island getaway in 2024. While Tybee is a great day trip destination, the island is best enjoyed over the course of several days from the coastal comfort of a quaint beach rental. There are plenty of oceanfront condos and rental properties available, boasting breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean along with amazing amenities. And if you book during the off-season, you’re likely to get a great deal.

Take a fishing charter.

If you’re an avid angler, find time in 2024 for a fun fishing trip unlike any other. It’s one thing to cast a line at your local lake, but it’s another thing entirely to set sail into the deep blue during an off-shore adventure. There are quite a few fishing charters to choose from, and Tybee’s biodiverse waters are filled with many different species of fish, so you’re always in for a surprise.
