Labor Day Beach Bash

You work hard. Play harder at Tybee’s annual Labor Day beach bash! Taking place Saturday Sept. 5th and Sunday Sept. 6th from 7 to 10 p.m. near the iconic Pier & Pavilion, this beach bash is the highlight of the holiday weekend. Enjoy a live concert with Performances from Landslide – A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac and the Swingin’ Medallions, followed by a dazzling fireworks display over the Atlantic Ocean. Bring your beach chairs, your favorite people, and your dancing shoes and be ready to boogie into the night. The Labor Day Beach Bash is free and open to the public. See you there!

Soul & Flavor Food Truck Festival

On the Savannah riverfront at Eastern Wharf, about 20ish minutes from Tybee, Discover Black Savannah will host the Soul & Flavor Food Truck Festival on Friday, Sept. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. Now in its 3rd year, the food truck festival is a celebration of culture, cuisine and community, complete with a curated selection of local and regional food trucks specializing in soul food, Gullah Geechee cuisine, seafood, fusion flavors and sweet treats. The festival also includes live music and performances, local artisans and family friendly activities. Soul & Flavor is free to attend, with VIP tickets available for purchase for an elevated experience.

Fort McAllister Labor Day Festivities

Just south of Savannah in Richmond Hill, Fort McAllister State Park will celebrate Labor Day by transporting attendees to the past. An educational and engaging event for the whole family, the day will include Civil War games, medical displays, and more. Marvel as living historians in accurate period attire fire muskets through the day. And cool off with refreshing watermelon while taking in the fort’s rich history. The event is set for Saturday, Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
