Guest Education Day – #BookDirect and Save
Feb 6th is the Second Annual #BookDirect Guest Education Day. The #BookDirect campaign is a nonbranded collective effort among Vacation Rental Property Managers and Rent By Owners to reach out to past and prospective guest via email and social media to educate guests about the many advantages, including but not limited to significant savings, by booking directly on their website or calling an in-house, local Vacation Planner.
OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, and Booking.com charge the guest extra fees during the booking process. Guest can pay between 11% – 20% more by booking their reservations on these platforms! Plus, by booking directly, the guest is able to communicate with a Vacation Planner who has local knowledge, they have more property choices as not all properties are listed on OTA sites, and they have access to special offers.
