Good Music, Good Vibes, Great Cause: Tybee Post Music Festival 2025
Tybee Post Music Festival Returns for a Weekend of Live Music, Lawn Parties, and Community Spirit
Taking place Nov. 7–9 at the historic Tybee Post Theater, the fourth annual Tybee Post Music Festival is a weekend-long sonic celebration complete with lawn parties and live music each day. This year’s lineup highlights all-new talent spanning a range of genres, and each concert is preceded or followed by an exciting lawn party featuring food trucks, games and live acts playing from the roof. Access to the lawn parties are sold separately from the concert tickets. Lawn party tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children age 17 and younger.
The concerts kick off on Friday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. with the iconic ‘70s beach band Chairmen of the Board, who arose from Detroit, Michigan and quickly amassed a sizable following for their smooth, soulful harmonies. Patrons can also purchase tickets for an accompanying oyster roast that first night with bold bivalves served steaming hot from Barnes Restaurant.
On Saturday, Nov. 8, crowd-favorite Futurebirds will take the stage. Hailing from Athens, Georgia, Futurebirds are known and loved for their distinct brand of high-energy rock-and-roll. The band is so beloved that the tickets for their 8 p.m. sold out within 48 hours. Fortunately, the Post was able to offer a second matinee show for the Futurebirds that day at 4 p.m., but tickets are still going fast.
The music festival wraps up on Sunday, Nov. 9 with Sounds of Georgia at 4 p.m. Based in Atlanta as a product of the Georgia Players Guild, Sounds of Georgia is a tribute band that recognizes a wide variety of Georgian musicians, with covers of artists spanning from Otis Redding to the B-52s and The Allman Brothers. Sounds of Georgia is the perfect way to close the festival out with a rousing revisitation to some of the state’s greatest musicians.
The Tybee Post Music Festival is one of the most creative and compelling fundraising events for the theater, and organizers encourage the public to come out and support this community fixture.
“Not only is it a really fun weekend, just to be together and have fun over some really great music, good food and community, but it’s also a way to support us as a nonprofit,” said Evan Goetz, Executive Director of the Tybee Post Theater. “This is one of our fundraising events, so it truly does help keep our lights on and keep up the good work that we do here at the Tybee Post Theater.”
Anyone interested in attending the lawn parties or the concerts at the 2025 Tybee Post Music Festival should purchase tickets directly through tybeeposttheater.org. Please note that third-party apps or websites selling tickets to the festival are scams.
