Wine, Women, & Words • Celebrating Literary Legend Rosemary Daniell

August 11 @ 3:00 pm 5:00 pm EDT

Tybee Post Theater is proud to present “The Woman Who Spilled Words All Over Herself,” Savannah literary legend Rosemary Daniell.

Join us for an afternoon of wine, women, & words–and yes, song, to honor Rosemary Daniell’s prolific writing career and her impact on countless writers.

Your ticket includes access to the wonderful event, a complimentary drink, a fun goodie bag, and sweets! All ticket sales will go toward Tybee Post Theater’s fundraising efforts.

Rosemary will recount the origins of Zona Rosa, a Tybee Island writing workshop attended by thousands of women – and some men – for the past 40 years. Four of her “Stars in the Zona Rosa” will discuss the impact Rosemary and the writing program had on them and read from their published work, such as Kathleen McGuire, aka Maggie Redmon, author of Trials of a Dead Lawyer’s Wife: A True Story.

New York Times bestselling author Bruce Feiler will moderate the event. Bruce is the author of seven NYT bestsellers, including Life is in the TransitionsThe Secrets of Happy Families, and Council of Dads

In addition to inspiring writers everywhere, Rosemary herself has authored 10 books of poetry, creative nonfiction, and fiction, has appeared on national television and radio shows, and has lectured at numerous literary venues. Her work has been featured in more than 32 literary and small press publications, 20 magazines, and 19 anthologies, as well as theater and mixed media productions. Her first book of poetry, A Sexual Tour of the Deep South, was hailed by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the best works of feminist literature of the era. In 2008, she was awarded the Governor’s Award in the Humanities for her contributions to Georgia’s literary heritage.
