Marty Supreme
March 13 @ 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm EDT
2026 OSCAR NOMINATION FOR BEST FILM
Marty Supreme (2025) follows ambitious 1950s New York shoe salesman Marty Mauser (Timothée Chalamet) as he desperately chases his dream of becoming a world table tennis champion, a journey requiring shady schemes, hustles, and affairs, including with washed-up star Kay Stone (Gwyneth Paltrow) and his pregnant girlfriend Rachel (Odessa A’zion). Directed by Josh Safdie, the film blends sports drama with a character study of a charismatic but unscrupulous hustler, inspired by real player Marty Reisman, exploring themes of ambition, Jewish identity, and the post-war American dream through frantic energy and stylistic excess.
