Tucked just off the breezy coast of Tybee Island, The Kelpie Bistro & Pub blends Southern charm with a whisper of Scottish folklore. Inspired by the mythical kelpie—a shape-shifting water spirit known for its mystery and strength—our bistro brings bold flavors, rich traditions, and a touch of magic to every plate.

At the helm is Chef Gordon Card – born in Canada, raised in the US, but brought up under Scottish tradions – started his culinary journey in earnest with a trip across the Atlantic. Gordon opened his first restaurant on the rugged Isle of Skye, Scotland—an experience that forever shaped his approach to food. There, he fell in love with the soulful depth of Celtic cuisine, the value of local ingredients, and the pub culture that brings people together.
