TYBEE RESTAURANTS MUST MOVE TO TAKE OUT & DELIVERY SERVICE ONLY

March 24, 2020
Hello Tybee Neighbors and Friends,As the world struggles to contain the spread of the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19), every community around the world is being called upon to take unprecedented safety measures. Tybee is no exception. While we are eager for life to return to normal, we are not at that point yet.Effective Thursday, March 26 at 12 a.m. we will follow recommendations from the Department of Health and require that all Tybee Island restaurants convert to take out and/or delivery service only. Dine-in service is no longer an option. This order will remain in effect until 12 a.m. April 9, 2020.We also hoped to open City Hall for limited operations on Wednesday but that is no longer the case. We will not see citizens on an appointment basis as we had planned. Instead, City Hall will remain closed to the public until further notice and our employees will continue to work remotely. The restaurant restrictions and continued closure of city hall are necessary for the safety of all citizens on Tybee Island.Thank you for your compliance and understanding.Best Regards
Mayor Shirley Sessions
